Can We Trust that the Universe is Benevolent?
Trust is one of my continual teachers here in this earthly existence.
I have never had the easiest time trusting anything or anyone. Or so that is what my ego would have me believe.
But the truth is ...
I trust people and things all day long!
When I am driving, I trust that someone is going to stop at the red light or the stop sign.
When I am walking along the road , I trust that the cars driving by me won’t hit me,
When I make a cash deposit at the bank drive through, I trust that the teller will be honest about how much money is in the envelope.
All day long I trust my body to take it’s next breath without me interfering.
The list goes on and on….
So how am I able to trust the universe in these particular circumstances?
Because of MY oneness to the universal energy that breathes life into all of us.
I am the microcosm in the macrocosm.
So If I don’t trust the universe, then I must not trust myself!
When we connect to the love that permeates our being, we respond in kind.
So many times I have been swept up out of the darkest situations without even knowing how it happened.
The universe always has my back….
But I only notice it when I trust it and have gratitude for it.
Now this could raise some questions.
For example, people do get hit by cars when they are walking on the road, people do run red lights and get in accidents, people do steal from other people.
That is absolutely true. That is why it is so hard to really trust in the benevolent forces of the universe.
The way that I deal with this issue is that I really believe that everything that happens to me, no matter how tragic, is happening for my highest good.
And I have had some serious tragedies happen to me throughout my lifetime as I am sure many of you have as well.
It’s is especially hard to trust the universe right when these things happen.
And I admit, in the moment of those tragedies I have experienced, I DON'T trust the universe, I am angry, sad and hopeless.
But the one thing that is consistent is that when enough time has passed and I look back on the situation or circumstance...
Something very powerful and amazing happened to me.
The changes in my life were so profound that they brought new meaning to my life's purpose. To my soul's calling.
I know that the last thing we want to hear when something devastating happens is that it is happening for a reason.
Because at that moment there is no reason you can give me that would make any sense! NONE!
And that is ok… Here on earth we live in a linear time, that requires us to walk step by step through the process of the good and the challenging.
Where our soul resides, in the spirit world there is no time and a constant Birds Eye view. We see things clearly and experience no pain or suffering.
When I look back to the most tragic moment of my life, the time that I lost my brother in a fleeting moment, my skills as a medium were immediately heightened.
I was able to connect to him quickly and clearly. And because of that I was able to help other people connect to their loved ones.
So when we trust in the universe, we open ourselves up to new possibilities and opportunities that we may not have considered before.
Do I wish that I could learn these profound things in ways that didn’t involve suffering?
Yes! But the truth is if I were to take away every painful experience in my life, I would not be who I am today…. I needed them.
So how can we trust in the benevolent energy of the Universe. How can we trust that the universe is conspiring for our highest good?
Here’s the takeaway..
I believe it is to become a co creator with it!
We can walk through life knowing that we are part of a team. The great creator, our guides, our ancestors, angels and archangels and most importantly our higher selves, are right here with us all day everyday.
Ask them for guidance. They wont help unless we do.
But remember, we all have free will.
Ultimately what we experience here on earth is up to us.
We may not be able to avert a tragedy, but how we react to it makes all the difference.
Our spirit family can not take away our painful experiences, but they can guide us through them one step at a time until light washes over us and the situation.
There is always light and it always illuminates the dark.
Trusting in the universe, is like having faith in what is not tangible.
It involves a deep belief in something greater than ourselves.
This could be a higher power, a divine force, or simply a sense of purpose and meaning in the universe.
Faith helps us to stay grounded and focused on our goals, even in the face of adversity.
Here are some tips to help you to trust the universe and have faith in ourselves.
- Practice mindfulness: By being present in the moment and fully experiencing our emotions, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the universe. Mindfulness can help us to let go of worries about the future and focus on what we can control in the present.
- Let go of control: Recognize that there are some things that are outside of our control, and that's okay. By letting go of our need to control every aspect of our lives, we can free ourselves up to embrace new opportunities and experiences.
- Practice gratitude: By focusing on what we have rather than what we lack, we can cultivate a sense of abundance and positivity in our lives. Gratitude helps us to appreciate the good things in our lives and to trust that more good things are on the way.
- Surround yourself with positivity: Seek out people who inspire and uplift you, and spend time in environments that make you feel good. This can help you to stay optimistic and open to new experiences.
- And most importantly listen to your intuition: Trust your gut instinct and listen to what your body and mind are telling you. Your intuition can guide you towards the right decisions and help you stay true to yourself and your values.
Trusting in the universe and having faith can be a powerful tool in navigating life's ups and downs.
So try today to trust in the universe - you never know what wonderful surprises await you.
